Make an effort to create adorable memories with them. Give them some of your time as all they seek is a few moments of quality time with you. Care for them as they are the reason behind you.”

Maharajshri showers blessings upon Devotees from Canada, N. America & Australia

Maharajshri and Dr. Archika Didi shower blessings upon Devotees from Canada, N. America & Australia

Devotees in Canada and North America felt blessed as they got the opportunity to start their new year with the Live virtual blessings from their Guru, HH Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj and Dr. Archika Didi on the first day of 2022.

It was a very lively and joy-filled zoom meeting where devotees from North America, Canada and Australia felt recharged to embark on a new journey ahead. Maharajshri showered His blessings upon all and urged everyone to work on a ‘New version’ of themselves this year.

His focus was on self -improvement, self- renovation and selfless service. ‘Sky is not the limit and if we are determined we can achieve the impossible’!

Drawing comparison

He started the session with a beautiful analogy. He said everyone wants to upgrade to the latest version of their smartphone. The reason being that it offers new features, new look, better memory, better software and more user-friendly features. These features attract the customers and they do not mind paying extra for it either.

Similarly, we should make a sincere effort on making a ‘new version’ of ourselves. He further reiterated that each person can upgrade himself by paying attention to his image and usefulness. He can do it by learning new skills and upgrading his talents. God has blessed us all with immense options for our personal growth.

Our contribution

It is significant that we make ourselves important, useful and helpful to the world. We should work together as a team and become missionaries spreading divine messages and inspiring people all around. And instead of complaining about our limitations, we should contribute in our little ways to build a strong team of righteous people. This way our lives will be more useful and efficient.

Key Steps for a New You in this New Year

  • Reflect and upgrade your own version: pay attention to how you present yourself to the world
  • Be Prepared: Don’t be stubborn and be ready for positive change within. Because no one but you can change yourself.
  • Learn more to Earn more: work on skill development and polish your talent to enhance your value.
  • Be fearless like a lion: Overcome your fears if you wish to attain great heights in life. Everything is achievable with courage and wisdom.
  • Start with good action planning: Be mindful, nourish yourself everyday with inspirations from your Guru and plan every move wisely. To be successful make SMART goals for yourself.
  • Live a signature life: Make every action of yours unique and impactful. Let others recognize you with your signature work.
  • Success comes with a price tag: Firm determination will bring success and for success you have to step out of your comfort zone.
  • Give Back: Contribute in your small ways instead of remembering your limitations. Make a difference by supporting noble causes and for this team up with likeminded and virtuous people.
  • Nourish your heart, mind and soul: by staying connected to the source of all resources on this earth, God. Remember, that your Guru stands alongside you with His umbrella of Divine Grace to protect you, empower you and guide you on the path of success and righteousness.

Motivating and Energizing

Maharajshri’s message was very motivating and energizing. It is up to us to practically follow the guidelines and improve our lifestyle. The devotees were overjoyed and grateful for the love that their gurus showered upon them. Under the divine guidance from Maharajshri, The World Awakening Mission of Canada and The Vishwa Jagriti Mission of North America continue to spread compassion and serve the local communities in numerous ways.

They organize Satsang’s, meditations for wellness, food drives and other similar activities throughout the year. This New Year message brings new hope and brightens the path we need to follow with a new commitment to ourselves.

Step into 2022 with a stronger Divine Connection

Dr Archika Didi’s LIVE address to devotees in Canada, North America and Australia on 1st January, 2022

Connect with The Divine Power

Dr Archika Didi stressed on cultivating ourselves. For happiness and inner peace, we should rely on our inner-self and not on the outer world. We need to connect ourselves with the universal energy.

She said, during the pandemic, people lost hope and faced many challenges both mentally and physically. She said it is very important that we follow a regular routine of exercise and meditation.

Continuity in our exercise

We should be determined in following our goals and continuously strive to achieve them. There should be continuity in whatever we take up. By repetition of our good habits, we will be able to fulfill our resolution.

Remain positive in thoughts

By diligently following a routine, we will stay away from negativities and can keep ourselves motivated. We need to plan our success and work towards it.

Moreover, by eating healthy and by sitting in meditation, we can rejuvenate ourselves. Regular meditation purifies our pancha koshas, brings inner peace, and eternal happiness. Not only that, it is a powerful tool that enhances our intuitive mind and helps us plan the path to success.

Where there’s a WILL, there’s a WAY to HELP the NEEDY in winters

WAY to HELP the NEEDY in winters

WAY to HELP the NEEDY in winters

The winter season has kicked in. While many people have the comfort of cozying into that warm blanket or quilt, there are many homeless and poor people in the city, who struggle really hard to just survive in this cruel time of the year. Night shelters for the homeless come as a relief to many in big cities yet, they are hardly enough, considering a large number of the needy.

A large number of homeless spend their winter nights out on the streets without blankets or woolen clothes and sometimes without food. And the whole night is a battle of survival for such people that some win and some lose.

Can we help these people survive the chilly winds? Of course, we can! All we need is some will.

Here’s what can be done to support the poor & homeless who sleep under flyovers and footpaths.

1. Donating Blankets

Warm blankets are a much-needed essential for a whole lot of deprived people. You can arrange some blankets and donate them to shelter homes, temples, NGOs, and charities that are running blanket donation programs.

A few social service organizations have come forward for the noble cause.

For over a decade, Vishwa Jagriti Mission (VJM), under the gracious guidance of HH Sudhanshu ji Maharaj and Dr. Archika Didi Ji, is also carrying out a blanket distribution drive so that the needy can have their share of warmth during the winters.

This year also, blankets will be distributed to poor destitute people on New Year Day, 1st January.

Anyone can participate in the blanket distribution drive by gifting a meager amount to give the needy a well-needed touch of warmth amidst the cruel winters..

2. Offer ‘life-savers’ lying uselessly in your cupboards

We all have that sweaters and jackets we haven’t worn in many years. They are lying uselessly in a corner of the cupboard. Let’s give it to someone who’s in dire need of such clothes. These clothes are not less than life-savers for them.

3. Arrange a humble hot beverage/food camp

In the chilling weather, a small cup of hot beverage, like tea, works as a great relief. You can plan to organize a ‘tea camp’ in your vicinity where underprivileged people would be living. If you want you can also arrange a food camp or support any social service organization organizing such camps regularly.

Remember, even a modest gesture of warmth boosts the morale of the destitute. They don’t need more. If even 100 people in a city with a population of Crores will come forward, it will bring relief of warmth to the lives of thousands of deprived people.

Let’s be the ‘one’ among the 100.

4. Spread awareness about organizations helping the needy in winters

Many organizations and NGOs offer winter-care support, like warm clothes donation, to the needy for free. Inform the needy people around your locality about such organizations and help them in taking care of their wellbeing during the winter season.

5. Offering groceries

There are people out there who could barely manage basic meals in winters because of low mobility. This winter, donating groceries can be a noble idea. You can arrange oil, spices, Atta, rice, biscuits or anything that you want even in a small quantity for 50-100 needy people. It will give them relief in winters.

So, there are many ways to help the needy in winters. All you need is a little will.

This winter, be a little generous and give a touch of warmth to those who desperately need it in order to live on.

Happy giving!

Gita Jayanti Samaroh

Under the holy guidance of HH Sudhanshuji Maharaj and Dr. Archika Didi, Vishwa Jagriti Mission (VJM) successfully concluded its 5-day virtual program on the Bhagavad Gita. All the dignitaries commended the dedication of HH Sudhanshuji Maharaj and Vishwa Jagriti Mission (VJM) for giving shape to such a beautiful and massive event on Gita.
A wide audience listened to saints and leaders via live streaming on various social media channels and Disha TV.

During the event, a special online program on the Bhagavad Gita was presented by the children of VJM’s Gurukul from 25th Dec to 27th Dec. On 23rd Dec, HH Sudhanshuji Maharaj & Dr. Archika Didi inaugurated the event with mantra chants and lighting of lamps.  On the first day of the event, Didi Maa Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji, Swami Shri Awdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, and Shri Kalraj Mishra Ji shared their views on the teachings of the scripture. While sharing views on the unending relevance of the divine text, they said the text is not just preaching, rather it is a live diary of Lord Krishna. Such deep knowledge of Karm, Yog, Gyan, renunciation, and selfless action cannot be found anywhere else.

Conundrum of Skill development

Conundrum of Skill development

The human capital is key to the growth of any country. India is standing at the stage where 65% of its population is below the age bracket of 35 years and 50% of its population below 25 years. This demographic window creates a unique opportunity for the economic growth of a nation and individuals in particular. However, this demographic dividend is a dual-edged sword. If utilized in a better way, by creating opportunities for livelihood; it can pay dividends else it could become an obstacle in the growth of a nation.

Skill development is a key strategy to realize this short window of demographic dividend which is available to us. The success of government efforts like Digital India, Skill India, and Smart Cities will majorly depend upon the education and skill level of its people. However, in the current scenario, India has 487 million workers and over a million join the labor force every month. The latest India skill Report indicates that only about 47% coming out of educational institutions are employable. This shows there is a huge mismatch in skill demanded and supplied. Despite there are many initiatives taken by both the public and private sector, many challenges in the skill development landscape still exist. Some of the challenges as follows:

Technology and Skills

The skill development landscape is quite dynamic. With technological evolution like artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, etc.; the nature of skill demanded also evolving with time. Industry 4.0 is moving towards automation and the skills required will be different from what is needed today or earlier. That generates a fear about the employability of the existing workforce, especially in small and medium industries. So designing a skill development ecosystem according to the evolving technological needs of industry is a must. Much emphasis should be given on reskilling and upskilling the existing employed manpower could be one way out to keep the existing workforce relevant.

Social Attitude towards skilling

Social attitude towards blue-collar jobs is another obstacle to skill development. The acceptance of vocational courses vis-a-vis the educational courses is still low. Generally, it has been seen that the acceptability of vocational courses like a welder, plumber, electrician, etc is low among the students and the parents. To break this societal notion, children in school must be sensitized that no work is inferior. Gradually awareness campaigns can be extended to parents and other stakeholders.

Organized sector and apprenticeship

In India, the formally trained workforce stands at 4.63% which is very low if we compare the numbers in Germany where a trained workforce is 75%, and in South Korea, the percentage stands at 96%. Through Apprenticeship, rules are very much relaxed now and greater emphasis has been given to apprenticeship. Since the organized sector is very small, an apprenticeship boost up will take time. GST and other initiatives have started the formalization process but still have a long way to go. At the same time, the rejuvenation of the ITIs will shoot in the arm of the skill development initiative.

Placements of trained people

Since there is no direct link between the training partner (selected by the government) and industry. This led to the creation of a gap in skill demanded by industry and skill supplied. Result in this, training partners complain about not having enough jobs for placements. On the other hand, the industry complains about not having enough people to meet their requirements.

To conclude, India has a huge demographic advantage vis-a-vis many developed countries; where the share of the aged population is very high. At the same time, if we look at China, the demographic structure has also changed a lot of post-one-child policy. This creates an opportunity for us to become a global supplier of a skilled workforce. Towards achieving this objective of nation-building, Anand Dham Trust envisions to work towards empowering the disempowered section of the society. So that they can live with dignity and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the country.
